I tried to translate the title, but I’m not a 100% sure on it, as I’m still studying Japanese. 夜鷹 is an old fashioned (Edo Period) way of saying “streetwalker” or “low class prostitute,” which is what Manami sells herself as at the start of the story. But it’s also how you write “nightjar,” which is a type of bird. And 夜雀 just means “night sparrow,” which plays into the bird/night theme, and it’s a Japanese folklore story.
