Holly is introduced into the story as a waitress, and when Gabe notices how hot she is, he looks to Ellen to see if she noticed as well, and to his surprise, she seemed more captivated by her than he was.

When Holly leaves to get their drinks, Gabe and Ellen briefly talk about how hot she was, prompting Ellen to start flirting with her when she returned.

Ellen then asks for permission to seduce her because she wants to have a threesome, to which Gabe agrees.

This is the reveal that Dana was a lesbian, which wasn’t originally the author’s intent for Dana. The author did a brief Q&A back when she wrote this chapter and said this for her reasoning:

“Dana’s sexuality also offered me the chance to make her more interesting as a character. There are plenty of heterosexual and bisexual women in the Radley House already, and I wanted to create someone who fell outside of the “Everyone bones Mike” formula to expand my roster and stretch my abilities as a writer.”
