At the end of the flashback, Sayo briefly kisses Yuuko while thanking and admitting her love for her in the bath together. (Regardless of the kiss, the love is more in a platonic sense, not romantic.)

(This OVA was bundled with Vol. 12 of the Manga, but as far as I’m aware, is not based on any actual chapter. So it’s technically canon, but Anime Original as well. Unless I missed it somewhere in the Manga.)

Chikage teases her about it and we briefly see an Anime Original stitch animation (there’s no movement) of them having lesbian sex.

(The conversation happens in Ch. 14, but the imagination part is Anime Original.)
